Thank you to everyone who joined us for Tour de Fleece 2026! What an incredible few weeks of spinning, sharing, learning, and cheering each other on. Every year, this event reminds us just how creative and inspiring this community is.
This post is just a small snapshot of the incredible yarns spun by our community this year. We hope it inspires you as it does us.
For the Love of Spinning
If you have never spun with SweetGeorgia during Tour de Fleece before, we should explain that we have no teams. There are no leaderboards to climb, no spinning quotas to meet, and no pressure to produce a certain amount of yardage. Instead, we come together to encourage one another, celebrate every spindle and bobbin, and simply enjoy the process of making yarn.
Fantastic Fibre-Prep

Tour de Fleece Spin-Along
Spin-alongs like Tour de Fleece are wonderful opportunities to build new skills, experiment with different techniques, find better ways to manage projects, time, or focus, and connect with people who love fibre just as much as you do. Whether you spin every day or simply find a few quiet moments throughout the event, every project and every member adds something special to the experience.
Stunning Spindle-Spinning

Inspired by Our Community
Our Spinning and Tour de Fleece 2026 feeds in the SweetGeorgia + Co Community were filled with stunning hand-dyed braids and beautifully prepared farm-fresh locks. We saw thoughtful fibre blends, creative spinning techniques, and inspiring colour combinations. We watched fibres transform into beautiful yarns in every weight imaginable, from delicate lace to chunky yarns. And final yarns were anything from classic 2-ply to textured coil-spun yarns. Every project tells a story, and seeing each one come to life is always a highlight of the tour.
Beautiful Bobbin-Shots

Join Our Make-Alongs
We spin for Tour de Fleece every year, and we would love for you to join us in 2027. But the fun does not stop at Tour de Fleece. Next week, we begin our Summer Spectra Knit-Along, followed by Socktober in October. We also have our Winterful Weave-Along in November, and we kick off each year with Fibre Prep February.
If you enjoy making alongside a welcoming, multicraftual community that celebrates creativity, curiosity, and learning together, please join us at SweetGeorgia + Co.
