We love to celebrate colour, and a sweater in a beautiful neutral shade is the perfect canvas to showcase colourful accessories and more. Sometimes the simplest knit becomes the one you reach for every day. That’s exactly what happened when we paired the classic Ranunculus pullover with SweetGeorgia Trifecta DK in Birch.
KNITTING THE RANUNCULUS SWEATER SAMPLE
At the studio, we were looking for a classic sweater, and the very popular Ranunculus pullover by Midori Hirose was an easy choice. We chose SweetGeorgia Trifecta DK to explore how it behaved in a more open fabric. And in Birch, one of our most popular neutral shades, it’s endlessly wearable and pairs beautifully with any outfit.
Knitting the sweater was a relatively fast pursuit for Anita, and as soon as the sample arrived in the studio, many of us swooned over it. We took turns trying it on and many of us immediately started planning our own versions. Knit to a gauge of 16 st and 22 rows in 4″/10 cm, there is a lightness in the fabric that makes the sweater incredibly comfortable and exactly the layer we intended it to be.

SweetGeorgia Trifecta DK is such a versatile yarn—soft, shiny, with a beautiful drape. Its woolliness keeps the wearer warm while the more open fabric makes this sweater ideal for air-conditioned spaces too. We can imagine a whole rainbow of sweaters in this yarn. As much as we love the Birch version, one knit in an Enigma collection colour would be fitting for any cloudy day.
