Robyn Gibbons is our School of SweetGeorgia moderator and meeting host. If you’ve ever attended our online meetings, she has welcomed you. She is not only a warm hostess, but she is excellent at supporting members with any questions they may have, helping them live on the meeting or directing them to the school’s courses that can help them as they develop as multicraftual creators.

A Busy Crafter
Robyn is also a prolific and very organized maker. As a busy mom with a full-time job and a half-time job at SweetGeorgia, she uses her organizing skills to make time in her busy schedule to keep learning.

A Quick Q&A with Robyn
What’s your role at SweetGeorgia?
- School Moderator
What fibre arts did you enjoy before joining us?
- Knitting and weaving
Which fibre arts do you do now that you are here?
- Knit, crochet, spin, weave, needle and wet felting, sew, tapestry weave, embroider, and dyeing.
What other hobbies do you enjoy?
- Weight lifting, walking my dog, reading, and spending time with my husband and two preteen babies.
Are there any tools, equipment, or accessories you’d recommend?
- For knitting, it would be a gauge ruler – the only way to see what you’ll end up with when you are done.
- For weaving, a tool kit/holder – my daughter made two pieces in her woods class, and having all of the weaving tools at my reach makes it so much easier.
Which is your favourite fibre or yarn?
- Anything SweetGeorgia Trifecta (fibre or yarn)
Fun fact:
- I’m a big believer of Astrology – as my family is living proof that you are your sign *sigh*
