Secret Stash Club Crochet: Starfish Stole

A celebration of both colour and texture, bring a burst of sunshine to the heart of winter with this month’s Secret Stash Club sample, the Starfish Stole. Crafted in the radiant colourway for February, Fuzzy Peach, each stitch showcases the vibrant hues. A joyful blend of golden yellows, soft peaches, and hints of sun-kissed orange, the effect is reminiscent of ripe summer peaches. Or, the nostalgic sweetness of classic “Fuzzy Peach” candies! Lightweight and soft, it’s a versatile accessory that adds a cheerful touch to any outfit.

THE FUZZY PEACH COLOUR STORY

For our February Secret Stash Club, we wanted to send out a joyful and juicy colour. A colourway with subtle shifts in hues of orange, yellow, and gold that brightens these deep winter days. Inspired by ripe summer peaches right off the tree, orange, yellow and gold shades can be a challenge to dye. However, the SweetGeorgia dye team hit this right on the nail with a gorgeous, light peachy gold.

CROCHETING THE STARFISH STOLE

Whether you see the warmth of a summer orchard or the playful pop of your favourite treat, this scarf is sure to warm even the darkest winter day. The open, lacy stitch pattern of Starfish Stole by Jill Wright creates a beautiful, airy fabric that drapes effortlessly, making it perfect for layering through the changing seasons.

Crocheted by Charlotte Lee, this pattern is a combination of chain stitches tacked down by single crochet stitches. It may look intimidating, but it is a quick and easy project to make. We love the pairing of this design for how it plays with the variation in this month’s Club yarn. Wrap yourself in colour, joy, and a little bit of sunshine with this special crochet project!
