Secret Stash Club Knitting: Kelias Socks
Testing out this month’s Secret Stash Yarn Club was especially sweet. The subtly nuanced hues in our “So Kawaii” colourway are both delicate yet full of character, making it a joy to work with. We couldn’t resist turning this month’s club colourway into a pair of cozy, textured knit socks. The result is comfort with a touch of whimsy!
THE STORY BEHIND THE SO KAWAII COLOURWAY
“So Kawaii” is a combo of English and Japanese… “so” (English) and “kawaii” (Japanese for “cute”). Kawaii is an aesthetic in Japan that references cute, adorable, tiny, pretty, and sort of child-like innocence. This month’s colour is exactly that… it’s pink, cute, and innocent. It’s enjoying, accepting, and identifying with all that is good and joyful.
You can read more about this month’s colourway story at the reveal blog post.

KNITTING THE KELIAS SOCKS
The Kelias sock pattern, designed by Tabetha Hedrick, features easy slipped stitches. These stitches create a zig-zagging path traveling down these cozy socks, offering the perfect blend of texture and simplicity. SweetGeorgia team member, Charlotte, chose this pattern to show how the slipped stitches break up the slight variation in the hand-dyed “So Kawaii” colourway.
