Highlighting Hand-Dyed Yarns with the Rib Welt Scarf
A beautiful opportunity to highlight those special skeins, SweaterFreak’s Rib Welt Scarf is fun for knitters of all levels. Offering two sizes along with instructions to modify your scarf’s size, this project highlights the harmony between the pattern’s texture and the personality and character of dreamy hand-dyed yarns.
As Jenny of SweaterFreak shares in the pattern info: “Rib Welt scarf is a fresh twist on a classic. It’s a shallow triangular scarf that starts out in 2×2 rib gradually increasing and then decreasing worked in welting. Perfect for the couple of skeins of that special DK yarn you have been keeping for something special!”

For this sample, we wanted to play with the texture in this pattern even further by working with two yarns held together. Using our fingering weight SweetGeorgia CashLuxe Fine yarn along with the SweetGeorgia Silk Mist lace yarn, together they combine to make a lusciously soft finished project. The cashmere blend along with the soft mohair lends a fabulous feel to this scarf along with a delicate halo.

If you’re interested in casting on with the same colours as shown in the sample here, we’ve made a special Rib Welt Scarf Yarn Set available at the shop, available at a discounted rate.
