Sweater Weather Ready: Knitting the Minecrafty Pullover
The Minecrafty Pullover design by SweaterFreak is a true showstopper. Knit with SweetGeorgia Merino Worsted held together with SweetGeorgia Silk Mist, this sweater radiates warmth and coziness. Hand-dyed yarns blend beautifully, creating a soft, heathered look that perfectly complements the striking colourwork yoke. The result is a plush fabric with a gentle halo. Whether you’re heading out for a crisp autumn walk or curling up indoors, this pullover is designed to keep you comfortable and stylish, all while showcasing the artistry of hand-dyed yarns in every stitch.

KNITTING THE MINECRAFTY PULLOVER
Part of a collection of samples we knit for h+h Americas 2025, the Minecrafty Pullover, designed by SweaterFreak, is a cozy, soft dream. Knit to showcase our hand-dyed yarns in action, we fell in love with the fun colourwork yoke design in this sweater. The pairing of SweetGeorgia Merino Worsted and SweetGeorgia Silk Mist were knit at an aran gauge for a quick-to-knit project. The resulting sweater is warm and beautiful, ready for any cold-weather outing or for staying perfectly toasty indoors.
Kindly knit by sample knitter Denise Parks, the Minecrafty Pullover is knit top-down starting at the neckband. Choose your own favourite colourway pairings for your own project and make the sweater uniquely yours.

Double-Stranded Knitting
We enjoyed creating a number of double-stranded knitting samples in the collection of pieces we brought with us to the h+h Americas show. Holding two strands of yarn together when knitting is a fun way to play with colour and texture in your knits. Select either a high contrast colour pairing for a strong, marled colour effect. Or look to similar hues that will provide a subtle contrast, instead highlighting the difference of texture. This is achieved with the pairing of the smooth Merino Worsted yarn with the soft halo of Silk Mist.
For further help with choosing colourways, Felicia explores this technique in her double-stranded knitting vlog episode. In the video, she demonstrates how hue and contrast can dramatically change the overall look. In addition to the video, Felicia created a helpful Colour Mixing Guide for you to download with nearly 50 double-stranded colour combinations.
