One of our popular knit samples from 2025, the Coloring Book Tee, design by Aimee Sher, was created as part of a collection we brought with us to h+h Americas in Chicago. Developed to showcase our hand-dyed yarns in action, this charming sweater is a true wardrobe staple, brought to life with our SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock yarn. With playful stripes in the colourways Watershed and Bubble Wand, the tee is both classic and delightfully unexpected. Coloring Book Tee in SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock

Aimee Sher’s pattern features different shaping and length options in the sleeve and body to create a beautiful fit. This easy-to-knit tee is a great canvas for your favourite SweetGeorgia hand-dyed yarn combination.

Instructions

  • To knit the Coloring Book Tee, download a copy of the pattern from Aimee Sher on Ravelry.
  • Once your gauge is determined, cast on the required number of stitches for your size and join to knit in the round, making sure that the cast-on edge is not twisted. Place a marker for the beginning of the round and follow the instructions for knitting the neck edge.
  • Work the yoke increases and design instructions as listed in the pattern.
  • Divide the stitches into sleeves and body, while at the same time casting on new stitches at each underarm as instructed.
  • Work in the round in stockinette stitch until the sweater measures reaches the desired length. Change colours as desired. Work rib hem and bind off in established rib pattern.
  • Follow the sleeve instructions and repeat for the second sleeve.
  • Complete the neck edge of the pattern, if not completed earlier in the pattern.

  • Weave in ends and wet block sweater to finished measurements. Enjoy!

The Coloring Book Tee is the quintessential summer tee. This polished tee comes with a short-row shaped neckline, and different shaping and length options in the sleeve and body. Shaped with a beautiful compound raglan for a beautiful fit, this pattern is super easy to knit. Along with the possibility of just knitting the pattern plain, there are at least 12 possible permutations in the pattern itself… and more if you’re willing to make some mods, so it’s one you can make over and over.
All versions have an underarm ribbing detail that runs from hem through the underarm to the end of sleeve.

Joining Crochet Granny Squares – It’s Easier Than I Imagined!

I recently learned how to continuously “join as you go” (JAYG) for crochet granny squares and I LOVE this technique. And so on today’s Taking Back Friday video , I want to share an update on my Jethro Cardigan project and how I joined the granny squares. As I shared in a previous vlog episode , I’ve been making crochet squares out of three different sets of our Superwash DK Party of Five mini-skein sets. I finished making the 36 granny squares needed, which no two are identical. However, after crocheting all of the squares, I was stuck on how to join them together. They simply sat finished in a pile for a couple of weeks. Luckily, Tanis provided resources with her pattern and one of them was for the “Join as You Go” tutorial. It was fantastic. I’m so proud and excited that I’m almost done. I love how it is turning out, and playing with colours has been the most fun part of this project. Winterful Weave-Along: Weaving WIPs

Part of the fun of any make-along is to connect with fellow makers — to share your progress, ask questions, and be inspired by others’ work. We’ve absolutely loved seeing all of your photos and the journey of all of the weave-along weavers both at our Discord and SOS Forum spaces. SweetGeorgia Team Member, Greta, has now started weaving her second Kaleidoscope Scarf ! Helping to add some additional needed yardage for the border colour with our SweetGeorgia Individual Mini-Skeins (in Bison), Greta is following her own weft order — adding in some yellow picks and writing the order on a sticky note so the pattern can be easily repeated.
